Uphold Means2010; sound installation8-as-4-channel sound installation studying thresholds/redundancy of equalization in relation to filtering objects. The eight speakers are wrapped in foam and padding and contained inside vintage furniture. 10-minute loops quietly sound breathing/thumping fire bellows and wringing cardboard. Installed at Pilsen Vintage & Thrift in Chicago as part of Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain (curated by Jessica Turcios), a site-specific group exhibition that “excavates and draws upon the latent possibilities found in the mountains of discarded materials”; special thanks to Paul Guizar & Joseph Kramer! |

To Obverse2006; electronic compositionText/sound composition based on a short poem written with a limited set of letters. These letters corresponded to pitches, which make up the melody of the composition. Also previously performed as harmonium and accordion solo versions. |
